“What’s happening to me?” If you’re an entrepreneurial woman fighting and failing to feel good about yourself again, it’s perfectly natural... and Yoga-based stress reduction can help.
Get your sanity back without having to run away to Bali
Are you feeling irritable? Bummed out? Like your nerves are fried? Is your stress affecting your ability to run your business, or your relationships with friends or family?
When you’re an entrepreneurial woman, everything falls on you. You love running the show, being in control, calling the shots. Probably, in your personal life, you’re everybody’s go-to as well, because they see you as strong, competent and capable—and you are!
But the constant demands are wearing you down.
You’re not the problem. How you feel is not your fault.
You live a demanding life. It’s hard keeping all these balls in the air, so no wonder you’re having a hard time.
Anyone juggling what you are would be feeling what you're feeling.
Normal, everyday problems you used to be able to handle blindfolded now leave you paralyzed. You have trouble making decisions when you used to be an effective, get-the-job-done kind of person. You don’t feel like yourself.
That’s what stress, chronic ongoing stress, does to a person.
And it sucks.
The good news is you can do something about it without having to quit your job, close your business, leave your family and/or run away to Bali.
Shit is gonna hit the fan–it’s inevitable–but you can do something to lessen the negative impact on you and your life.
It starts with developing the habits to help you discharge, soothe and nourish your frazzled nerves, replenish yourself and fill your wellness cup so you can keep going.

What people are saying about working with Shulamit
I really enjoyed Shulamit’s classes and appreciated her very much as a teacher. Her classes were just what I was looking for and just what I had hoped to find when I decided to explore Yoga.
P.F, public servant,
Shulamit demonstrates a deep understanding of the practice and conveys it easily through her gentle and clear instruction. We particularly love the warmth and good humour of her classes and the way she encourages us to adapt the postures and breathing to suit our individual comfort levels. We would enthusiastically recommend her classes to anyone looking for a deep yet gentle journey.
Sheila and Bob Smith,
Shulamit has a rare ability to create and hold a safe and sacred space where people can explore and grow. She explains everything clearly and gently, she’s grounded and centred, and she leaves her ego at home.
Shulamit inspires me to be myself and not be afraid of that.

In my years of professional practice, I’ve seen person after person swamped by stress, especially strong, competent, capable, enterprising women with big plans and ambitious goals. They come to me distressed because they don’t understand what’s happened to them.
I too am a strong, capable, competent woman who hit the wall. I’m offering this program because I want my personal and professional experience and knowledge to benefit you so that you can regain your confidence and handle what life is throwing at you.
I want you to know there’s nothing wrong with you. What you’re going through is normal and there’s something you can do about it. Get Going will give you the information and skills you need to transform stress so you can handle what life throws your way and feel good about yourself.
I created Get Going after spending thousands of hours of 1-to-1 work with hundreds of clients, and teaching Yoga, Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and the Focusing technique both locally, internationally and online. Plus, I have a Masters in counselling and spirituality, am a certified and registered Yoga teacher and certified trainer in both Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and the Focusing technique.

Sessions must be scheduled, booked and attended by 9 April 2017. Only three spots are available in my schedule before the end of the year. Once you’ve made your payment, I will contact you by phone to book your appointments. You will receive an online questionnaire to complete before your first appointment.
What if I hate Yoga? Do I have to get into those weird postures?
The Get Going program does not necessarily involve the physical forms of Yoga. We will explore stress-reduction principles and find strategies that work for you. If you want to use the physical forms, then you do need to be able to get up and down from the floor with relative ease, and enjoy more-or-less normal range of motion in your limbs. But don’t teach pretzel yoga. You don’t have to have a Yoga body to participate. You don't even have to do the physical Yoga forms at all to benefit.
Do I have to be spiritual?
This program is not spiritually-based, and you do not have to be either spiritual or religious to benefit. We will touch on the role spirituality plays in wellbeing, but if this particular approach is not for you, you can still benefit from the many other strategies and tools available.
What if I already have my own religious beliefs and practices?
My teacher's teacher, TKV Desikachar, insisted Yoga was not a religion, and encouraged Yoga students to first and foremost turn to their own heritage for their spiritual inspiration. My training as a Yoga teacher and my education in bringing spirituality to bear on wellbeing leads me to concur. If you already have spiritual beliefs and practices, we will explore how you can use them to enhance your coping, if you're interested.
What if I'm not the "Yoga type"? Will this still work for me?
Yes. This stress reduction program introduces you to a wide range of tools from the Yoga tradition, including breathing and movement, but also going beyond these to guided exercises, journalling activities, working with beliefs, and exploring spirituality.
What if I need to rebook a session?
You are welcome to re-schedule one appointment. All sessions (including rescheduled sessions) must be scheduled, booked and attended by 9 April 2017.
